B：You can’t leave Beijing without trying some delicious local food. Be adventurous! Pop into any restaurant that looks interesting and order something.

A：Will they understand English?
B：A lot of restaurants have added English or photos to their menus. There is usually someone who will be able to help you out. Even if no one can speak English, it is no problem to point to a dish on someone else’s table. Chinese people are proud of their food culture and eager to share it. Don’t be surprised if you even get invited to join someone for lunch!
