B：Beijing’s environment definitely benefited from the Olympic Games.
A：Yes. Beijing is absolutely much greener than before. The added trees, flowers and parks will be a legacy to the city long after the Games end.

B：北京的环境的确从奥运会的筹备中得益不少。
A：是的。北京的绿化绝对比以往做得更好了。在奥运会结束后，新种植的花草树木和新建的公园对北京来说仍是一笔巨大的财富。
4.A：Your English is really impressive! I didn’t know what to expect about the English level here.
B：Thanks for the compliment. It’s really encouraging. The whole country worked hard to learn English as a way to show support for the Beijing Olympics. Everyone from grandmas to traffic police studied and practiced crazily.

B: Chinese people in general are very friendly. Beijing people are particularly eager to make guests from all over the world feel welcome here. I’m glad you are enjoying the hospitality.
